Look at it fly
With those dainty white wings
It laughs and points
And it giggles at you
You stare
And you glare
At the little one who flies
Above your head
Out of reach
You jump
And you snatch
But still she just floats
Wishing to come down
But having no choice
She drifts and drifts
Up into the sky
You can no longer see her
You can just hear her laugh
And then that is gone
You sigh
And you cry
And you stare in the air
Wishing
That she hadn't died so soon
