A Razor's Comfort

Contributed by CuttersAngel on Tuesday, 23rd December 2003 @ 03:17:30 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The anger inside, it grows and grows
I try so hard to not let it show
My past is a mystery, that's how it stays
Although I live it everyday
I cut at night when it's all too much
My blood seeping seems to be enough
My wounds heal but a scar remains
To represent what I couldn't contain
One razor, one slice, one time, that's all
To resurrect the greatest fall
One wound, one scar, remains on me
To show the times I've been set free
Shattered dreams within false hope
This is how I've learned to cope
This razor, so thin, so small, so real
To ease the horrors of what I feel
To help me let go of what I can't keep
Not once in six months have I weeped
I've shed my tears and I've cried
But only when I knew everything died
Now I move on and try to forget
And try to believe my life is not set
I try to move on from the mistakes I've made
My life disappears and slowly I fade
I've let go of everything, right or wrong
Never once have I belonged
People love me, some don't know why
Some love me because of my eyes
But none if this matters in the end
As I hold my razor, my one true friend
Somehow by cutting everything becomes right
As I fade away into another night.

Deep poem. My comfort is a gun I use to play roulette. My mother took it away now I don't know where it sits. Somehow pain is the only comfort some people know.

I love it!! Everything you write just gets me. I see myself in your writing, and it just draws me in. Great work!
