Another Early Morning

Topic: MiscPoems

Whisk away to another world
Flying ever slowly
Following the golden path of light
Another early morning

Water droplets shimmering
Green cascades are gleaming
Shadows of a lonely night
Drowning away behind them

Following ever surely
A flight of birds are joining
All working their way towards
Another early morning

And yet the people sleeping
Dreaming still of their future
Lie in such abundance
Unaware of the sudden daybreak

A rush of wind below their wings
Gliding them down the path
The path of such warmth and radiance
That leads to another early morning

But still the Earth lies still
And quiet surrounds us all
Of what once used to be
A restless, shaken night

Noises waken the shadows
Trouble rests no more
Sunlight breaks the ice
Another early morning

A chosen ritual with such joy
A pattern formed across the sky
A glorious wakening of my eyes
To watch as they fly away

My window pane below me
Condensation on the glass
Rays of light above me
On this early morning

Am I just a waking fool?
Or trapped in this pleasant dream
The truth that no one is awake
I know this morning is mine

I like this very much ...tranquil...you might want to reword the "but still the earth lies still"
other than that I think it is quite beautiful so serene ...thank you for sharing

Shari

I agree completly with Shari. That was the only thing that stoped the flow, but only for a second. Other than that...It was very, very beautiful. Thank you
