The canvas story

The canvas,as white as they come.
Geared to be painted on,to the level of monotony
by those nimble fingers.
The first stroke of brush,a dash of blue.
Then one of red.Yellow in between.
As the child did his painting,
as he must,
the father,like his father before,watched and wondered
how it shall be for his son,
how he shall paint;live,learn and feel.
But the canvas knew better
that as fingers grow firmer
paintings take on meaning
with layers of colours;
shades in between.Adding
anger,love,passion,hate and fear.
Which then merge,blend and mingle to leave
the canvas,as white as they come.
Geared to be painted on,again
to the level of monotony.

| I loved it, it's very descriptive and artistic. I can actually imagine the painter sitting down facing the canvas easel and painting a picture. Great work! |

Yet another striking poem. I loved the way you wrote this! Thoroughly excellent. I love the way you wrapped up the ending, too. Intelligently done and wisely worded.
