THE VISIT

Contributed by jaeann on Wednesday, 24th December 2003 @ 03:12:33 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Dressing up all so pretty
in yesterday's sunday best
just to sit on the hard cold ground
and be her only guest.

Do my hair oh just right
and bring a flower or two
walk down the muddy path
where now there's quite a few.

She's among all of her friends
though she never knew them in life
but she's honored I'm very sure
for they're all one without the strife.

Now I'll only stay a little
not a place for me to break down
although it's quite acceptable
to wear my saddened frown.

I'll kneel there and softly whisper
my love for a lifetime to come
small tidbits of her loved ones
and my anger for the doldrums.

Leave her with a message
I've given her all these years
she's forever my Christmas angel
as I wipe away the first tears.

Break off some flowers to place on others'
and kiss her marble stone a last time
I wish for gold to build for her a monument
so I could etch her life in my rhyme

Jaymee she wouldn't want gold for her moment of rememberance.....she's in the best place of all....in your heart!
She will remain there forever.....the two of you in memory will never part!
Very emotional poem...remembering....and kissing the stone...I do the same after 32 years...no one will ever replace the portion of my heart that will be reserved for him forever and a day...likewise the same for you!
Warm Love and Warm hugs
ConSue
