my mind cannot handle this
my very essence, you all try to grab
--predators at the first kill--
my body, this mess on the floor
sweet, lavished crimson
to be but mopped up later
without even a sigh from you
no phone call, apologies, or explanations
nothing but me now
shyness abandoned
innocence abandoned
replaced with favor, with flirt
all emotion
overwhelming
...tattered...
this rag doll at your feet
--kicked and bruised--
and even to your displeasure, i am still breathing
how i love to see
such disappointment in your eyes
to see me every morning
this strength i have gained, past all your tantrums
you cannot touch me now
i was broken long ago
but now you ache
because you cannot crumble the pieces left
of my heart, my spirit...
have i outsmarted you at last?
my tears cried out in front of you...in my hurt...
so do you hurt yet?....
my revenge....
i have come to love....
