In a World I don't understand

Contributed by wildcard1506 on Saturday, 27th December 2003 @ 10:36:21 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I live in this world
It's difficult to understand
Hatred devouring countless souls
Who never felt God's hand
I live in this world
A world of animosity
Where one's pure hatred
Sparks another's curiosity
I live in a world of deception
No way to lose or to win
I'm lost in the darkness
Of another's shadow of sin
I live in this world
Among small children's fears
Age knowing tomorrow isn't promised
And they let go of unfallen tears
I live in this world
Where nothing is as it seems
But I can escape to tranquil peace
Inside a child's dreams

All my wisdom(not much) tells me that we will never understand this world. I think what matters most is trying. Your poem speaks for alot of people who feel the same way. We are in the darkness, but at least we have a voice. Thank you for using your words to brighten even the darkest of places. Nice work...
