Lifepoems

Looking outward, to the west Its my illusion; there is no rust Blowing through the wind Like a single speck of dust
And when I arrive there, Theyll all know my name, Theyll all welcome me with open arms And theyll all know why I came
And when they ask what took so long, I respond a short reply, Its really actually funny. You know, with no wings its hard to fly.
I have run, I have crawled I swam until I could not breathe I realized an inner chain bound me, That was why I could not leave
I dont know why it was a struggle, There was barely any weight to bear But when nobody supports your wants and needs, There seems to be so much more there.
So Ill give myself away one day, To someone who understands Theyll know exactly how I feel And theyll lead me by their hands

I really, really liked your poem so very much.
"I don’t know why it was a struggle,
There was barely any weight to bear"
My favorite lines, loved the words...
