Words you lace with poison
We can taint our existence
The weakness that you delivered me
Spared me with no resistance
Sour to the smartest tongue
You've buried me to my knees
Immobilized to the very bottom
And stripped of all our needs
Cut me into pieces
The broken record on the floor
Blood puddles into our confusion
You gave me poison and so much more
Stronger than the loudest crash
We wince at our own desires
The passions that burn inside us
And the water you used to drown our fires
Lace us with poison
Cure me with your crinkled eyes
We drink the hemlock to save you
And you're the one who dies
Hand me down to photographs
Burn into echoed memories
Torch the bridge we took to get here
Fall into buried again, up to my knees
