Today I Am A Writer

I know now, I see me,
I'm not like everyone else!
I'm a writer, and I know I'll always be!
I have found myself!
Words on paper, it's my passion,
And today it became so clear,
Writing will be with me, year after year.
This will, I know, be my occupation,
And how I could have missed it,
Is quite a speculation!
My dreams of being a doctor,
My dreams of what to see,
Now seem so foolish,
Compared to my dreams of being me!
In my heart I am a writer,
And I always have been.
I'm not a super hero, I'm not a fire fighter.
I'll never be alone,
Now that I've got my words.
Oh, my words!
I pity those who have not found,
And wish them all the best,
For today I've seen my future,
And I can't wait for the rest!
