KINDNESS

Contributed by lovingcritters on Saturday, 3rd January 2004 @ 11:20:43 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Randolph Ray said, that kindess is
tenderness, kindness is love, but
perhaps greater than love, kindness
is good will....it says, "I want you to be happy!"

When you are around a very kind person,
is this not what they convey ably?
Without even hearing them speak, their actions,
say....."I won't hurt your feelings in any way!"

Very kind people are also gracious....willing,
Amiable dispostion, humor,
earnestness, fulfilling.
Most people are attracted to the very kind.
In a world of very little love, they are hard to find!

Polite, courteous, well-mannered, gentility!
Cultured, soft-spoken, easy temper, humility!
Always minding one's P's & Q's...gallantry.
Being all things to all men, amiably agree.

They have "Warmth of Heart", fellow feeling,
even sympathy!
They enter into the feeling of others, empathy!
They are human comforters of those that weep!
Consoling broken hearts with hope to reap!

Friendly with the best of loving intentions,
Peacemakers, quick to smooth over frictions.
Taking the blame, even if not the guilty one.
Loving intently his fellow man,
like their own family brethren.

"Tis so true what Emily Dickenson said,
"If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain.
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or help one fainting robin,
unto his nest again.
I shall not live in vain!"

If we can be kind to just one soul,
Helping them live and carry their burden's toll.
Helping the old, young, infirm, to be glad.
We can help this sad world to be,
a little less sad, and much more happy!

You have just outdone yourself with this one in my opinion. This is something I need to post where my eyes can see it daily for the times when I slip and am not so nice. What you said is so true and being kind can and does make a difference.

ConSueMate,I have had a poem in the back of my mind (Good manners are more important than truth) but I won't bother with it anymore. You have expressed what was in the back of my mind so well and so much better than I could.

Connie Sue........what can I say that has not already been conveyed? Very good write and straight from the heart. The warmth just flows and radiates from the page. I've known several people like this in my lifetime. But in the past few months I've chanced upon yet another gentle, kind, and loving soul..........you Connie Sue. I thank you also for thinking of me. A very touching piece here.

Continued blessings to you my friend. This should be placed in every building from the White House down to every School House, but always starting in the home. You've done us all proud here. Thanking you again.

Gloria E.
