Topic: goodbyepoetry

tears stream down my face
as I wave goodbye
to my friends
most of which
I'll never see again

I cant stand it
some of them are crying
some on the verge
I look from one to the other
as we pull away

I stare out my window;
heartbroken;
memories flash through my mind
the ones I'll cherish forever
It only breaks my heart more

We say we'll keep in touch
but one day
I know
the letters and phone calls
will cease

I'll adapt to my new home
but I'll never forget them
no one can ever replace
the spot in my heart
they once filled
