we are
but we are not much
we exist
from habit
we fear
because we don't understand
we are ghosts
in our own life
we don't pull the strings
we don't push the buttons
we just smile on cue
and speak our lines
we speak
and say nothing
we multiply
and grow dumber
we breathe
but don't live
we kill everything
just to survive
we mean nothing
but we can't understand
we think we've evolved
but we are still apes
nothing special
nothing new
pre-programmed
and repetitive
walking, breathing
re-runs
we grow old
ungracefully
we sweat at night
from fear of death
so afraid to die
so unwilling to live
we fade
we die
the maggots come
the maggots go
we are gone
and life goes on

I dont think ive ever heard such a perfect description of the human race. I especially liked these lines :
"we grow old
ungracefully
we sweat at night
from fear of death
so afraid to die
so unwilling to live"

a bit simpler than most of yer stuff, but quite good nonetheless.
