i don't wanna be just another appointment
you 2:30's arrived, and here is the ointment
i dont wanna be my own dissapointment
why can't everyone be realistic?
i dont wanna be just another statistic
in case you missed it
i'm the one in four girls that gets this way
and i dont wanna see my day
come and go as if to say
you missed your chance to have your life
so now youll suffer in your own strife
i dont wanna be another helpless girl
in anothers peripheral view of this world
i have this hopeful fantasy
that someday i'll be happy
but for now i dont wanna be
what i know you think of me
i dont wanna be another name on your list
someone to smile at, for me to resist
i dont wanna be
just a teary eyed repeat of the same defeat
you deal with every day
because it is not the way
i want to live
day to day
