As my eyes, heart, body and soul
start a brand new day
surveying cercumstances
inside (things along lifes way).
Yesturdays thoughts were of me.
Maybe it was selfish and
just possibly
why I couldn't see.
In this day, Father, I pray.
Let me forget about myself
Lay all my problems
on your shelf.
In this day, Father, I pray.
Just wonna lift someone's load
Maybe a smile or touch,
Lord, you know.
Please let me step out
of this human flesh
to walk in your spirit so fresh.
Wonna spread sunshine
to another weary soul.
ease the burden so they
can see flowers
as we go.
