Reflections of a flickering
light off your beautiful
angel face.
Tapping on the window
as I watch you lay there
peacefully.
As I touch your skin
I thank God on this night
just for you.
I explore your body with
my fingures softly not to
awaken you.
I sit here and think
"is it possible for this
to be nothing but a dream?"
I snuggle in close to
you and lay my head
by yours.
I gently kiss on your lips
the very lips that speak
my name.
My eyes start to close
as the candle flickers
out.
And just before they
close for the night I say
a prayer:
I thank thee O Lord
for someone such as he.
Keep him safe just for me
for he means the world to me.
And I know he completes me.
