Bleed Blue Eyes

Contributed by Exodus-On-Life on Tuesday, 13th January 2004 @ 12:48:42 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Return these eyes upon me
Give me back my will

I'm walking through the shadows
Searching for my home, even still

Lost without surrender
Giving up as I start to bleed

This darkness that surrounds me
I take nothing, less I need

Descending into tunnels
This dungeon of despair

Left me broken into pieces
Scattered everywhere

Myself who picks up the pieces
I lay shattered on this cold floor

Flowing blood of passion
And it seems you only take from me, more

It's not like I killed your trust
Or even gave you reason to abandon me

You've left me knee deep in sorrow
Taken in stride as you watch me bleed

Taste the iron as I clutch my breath
Lay here undetermined

It seems, that these bleeding eyes have nothing left

wow, I guess everyone feels this way sometimes, and the way you potray it in the poem, is just so filled with sadness and at the same time brings pity. I think its a great poem, and keep up the great work
