Today I bet 1000 dreams
That I will win this scheme it seems
That I will not the lover be
When all is done I'll still be me
Perhaps a bet I can't afford
On one so easily adored
I'll simply say that I have won
I should have bet a dream or two
I can't deny these dreams of you
And favor did the odds my heart
And now it doesn't want to start
When you're not there I do not dare
Sleep --- until you say you care
Now I can bet with certainty
My fortune for eternity
But I will never bet a dream
Against a love's propinquity

i thought this was an amazing poem! but i agree, i wasnt sure what propinquity means, but the poem surely displays youre awesome writing abilities!
