Life is but a long, sad note that can only drone
It's left in the dark all alone
But a radiant melody bursts through
That beautiful melody is you
For your eyes sing
And your heart does loudly ring
If I die in the morn before I wake
I want you to know this for pitys sake:
That my love for you was taller than any mountain or tree
And my love was deeper than any ocean or sea
And as the vines will crawl up to my head
And as my body will lie there dead
My heart will be fiercely aglow
From the most passionate love this world did ever know
