Often I close my eyes, and dream of your lovely face
I wish that I could know your heart, and feel the warmth of your embrace
Often I lay awake at night, thinking of why you cannot be mine
These reasons tear me up inside, but I'm too foolish to take it as a sign
Often I cry, wishing i were someone else, someone you would love instead of hate
Only to realize there is nothing i can do, that this pain must be my fate
