Beside Me He'll Stand

Contributed by wachumiri on Saturday, 17th January 2004 @ 02:01:45 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

In life it's so hard
To trust in others
When problems I face
Will they run for cover?

No, You will not run
My God will not hide
For ever and ever
He'll stand by my side

And though my life
Be filled with pain
I'll remember it's Him
Who for me was slain

God has a reason
For all He does
And though we may not see it
He guides us with love

Wow, I'm glad to see people taking religion as love and not matter. Its rare to see someone such as yourself with such passion and undying belief in something. And the best thing is you dont promote anything unlike other religious poets on this site, you talk about your feelings, and how he changed your life.
For that amount of passion and love, you deserve 3 thumbs up!
Great work

God had a reason for the creation of Wachumiri. He really did!
He works in mysterious ways.

I am touched by this poem. I forgot about God and was very angry at him because of my own grief. I have only recently accepted exactly what this poem is saying. God's plan is for the best, whether we understand it or not. It is just diffucult to come to terms with it in our flawed human minds.

Thanks, Ann
