Will Your Man Commit

A-------------------------------------------------
A women asked who'd like to know
Why men commit or men say, "Woe",
I'll try to bring my thoughts across,
Be you wimp or be you boss?
A man who reaches twenty five
and hasn't married, he will strive
to join the club of married guys,
He'll commit, he'll think he's wise.

B-------------------------------------------------
Every five years after that,
If he's not married, it's old hat,
And on and on, he jaded gets,
They're always girls to make him pets.
There comes a time when he's too late
To get himself a handsome mate,
He then becomes a used-to-be,
And goes with anyone who's free.

C-----------------------------------------------
Here's a guy whose wife did die,
He's used to one so he will try
to duplicate his former mate,
particularly, with kids of late.
He will try his utmost, hardest,
For him, cohabit is the smartest.
A girl or two will drive him mad,
A woman he will wish he had.

Shades, nuances in all these cases,
Change according.. different places,
One works here, the other there,
It's hard to meld, become a pair.
Type A you'll find is easy pickin's
A pretty woman, his pulse it quickens
The problem is he hasn't ripened,
He's working for a minor stipend.

Type B you'll find as he gets older,
He's hard to tame.. you must be bolder,
The older he, as time advances,
shuns the pointed female glances.
-----------------------------------------------
Type C you'll find is best of all,
Into your lap he's bound to fall,
Not only that, there's less divorces,
With type C don't hold your horses.
----------------------------------------------
Type A you'll find, a willing rose,
It's easy come and easy goes,
He's too young, to married be,
Divorce is easy, wait and see.

Hold on now, I'm not a shrink,
I'm smart enough for kitchen sink,
The point is I have lived so long,
I've seen the same old yoyo song.

Dear Norm,
One of the greatest of all your poems, Norm.
I really think you are right on this one too!
I'll only add a bit of knowledge from my point of view!
Men now days are very irresponsible, and immature.
I asked my son Montie, 24, who is out there when he closes our door.
He also thinks that they are after sex....and once they get that.......why commit? They can have everything but the responsibility and the chore!
Montie also says that they don't want to be tied down.....so they have to commit to just one girl in town.
My thoughts are similiar to his.
I also think their morals are no longer fine.
We learn morals in a religious sense,
And religion is dead to most young men,and so is common sense.
If they can't commit to you, then how can they commit to anything else, a God,. a Job etc. these are just my views. I dropped out of the dating game years and years ago....and have
no intention of every going back. I think you're asking for trouble, and that's a FACT!
