I thought I knew you,
I did not
Told you I love you,
You just smiled,
I felt your hand,
Just touch on mine
..You never answered me my angel..
I thought as I looked inside your eyes
I saw you hiding your surprise
I spoke.. angel, Think it through
...My god, I care so much for you...
The days passed by, but no reply
I'm thinking back to what I said
..You never answered me my angel..
The words kept running through my head
A few more days.. A few more nights,
It feels like years passing by,
And then like thunder from the sky
Your call, your call, I feel relieved,
Just for second, then I answer.
Your voice seems sad, you softly greet me,
The words keep running in my head
..You never answered me my angel..
I greet you back.
A silent moment, then you speak..
You seem confused, you sound lost,
Your words break up, you stutter, your breath so heavy,
Shhh, "don't speak" I said, I know what you'll say already.
A quite moment and then
You softly say three words "I'm sorry"
These words just echoed in my mind,
And I kept thinking - this can't be true
...My god, I care so much for you...
Then you hanged up,
I sat and stared up at the ceiling,
This can't be true, it can't
My life now has no meaning.
I felt my heart stop beating
The voice inside me kept repeating
"I'm sorry", "I'm sorry", my vision blurred,
My arms collapsed, I dropped the phone from my hand
I closed my eyes, I saw my life
I saw your face just one last time
I heard your words - repeat, repeat
They fell in place of my heartbeat
And as I took in my last breath,
the words came out:
You're my angel..
My angel of death...
