Laughing, Crying, Dying

Contributed by TundraHydra on Wednesday, 21st January 2004 @ 05:27:55 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Shocked by the words she said to me
She was leaving this place to be happy and free
I wanted to laugh it all away
But time held it still on this somber day
The strength poured out of my body
The world trembled as my tears clouded so that I couldnt see
I asked her if this was a joke
No was the only word she spoke
We went to the benches so that I could compose myself
I couldnt fight the feeling; like being put on a shelf
All I could do was hold her hand and cry
Wishing that the past few minutes were all a lie
Trying to cope with the situation
Feeling like one lost since creation
I smiled half-heartedly through vision blurry
As long as she was happy I shouldnt worry
She left to go to her quiet room
I felt like a judged man whose fate was eternal doom
So now, I continue to release a silent cry
Begging the Lord to give me more time or let me die
