A YARD FULL OF STARS

Amazement awaits my eyes,
as from my front door, I surmise.
A fine skiff of snow mixed with ice.
Glistening rainbows, chipped diamonds precise!
Early morning sun rays entice colors.
With Jack Frost's calling cards of favors.
A closer glance I realize, the heavens careened.
The Milk Way dropped all it's stars as it leaned.
A yard full of stars, a brilliance ne'r matched
With each falling star, a rainbow was snatched.
Little winter chickadees, blinded with sparkles.
Reflecting light glows, they're tiny flying angels.
Surrounded with unsurpassed beauty and simplicity.
My soul drinks in this wondrous earthly star-dusky!
His Heavenly Creations are brought closer
for me to admire.
An earthly cloak filled with gems for attire.
Captured in the eye of a dreamer,
this scene a poem it did inspire.
