Shadows of your vanity
Such intolerable cruelty
Visions of your entrapment
Peril at your best
Tighten up your lips
Eyes say it all
Candles flicker from the pain
Darkness takes my soul
Its the time of your life
Wishing upon this night
Daydreams that turn into nightmares
As my heart pulls further away
And yet the darkness calls unto you
Drowning you ever more
Ships of dying souls-
Are you to cross that path?
An imaginative dream
All inside your head
Your wishes never filled
Burning at your best
Reason with me why dont you?
Tell me of your past
Teach me all the ways
Ways into the dark
The Light vanishes,
Flickers away
Your eyes close
And another day wanes
Yet that face is still in your mind
Losing all control
Reaching ever more
Into somebody elses soul
But your heart speaks for no one
All except me
Still here waiting for your return
Return from somewhere unseen
Its this uncertainty of your madness
That drives me wild with fear
Yet I love you more than the heart knows
A heart that is Blacker than black

| very great poem, well written. i too know what it feels like to be waiting for someone to come back, only to wait forever. good luck and hopefullly this someone will grace your life once more. |

I also know what its like to wait for someone who never comes back(excuse me, I just feel a little emotional right now, give me a second...deep breaths) I'm alright now...I'm fine. Breath...
