You broke my heart
You ran away.
Expecting me to
simply move on.
But its not that easy.
You stole my heart
Now you think you
can just give it back.
But I've got news.
That isnt going to work.
Because even though you gave it back,
You left your hand around it.
I see it in your eyes.
The way you still look at me.
I hear it in your voice.
The words still hold their meaning.
I still feel
just the same.
But do you realize
that you do too?
You do know.
For even as you pull away.
The more you want
To hold me close.
First you don't.
But then you do.
Wishing you could
take back all you said.
Though it can't be done,
I forgive.
For I still love you.
Just as do you.
Once again
our hearts are one.
Mine is healed
and yours is too.
