It took too long, goes too slow
I should act better, yeah, I know
But Ive fallen far below bottoms end
Where are those that call me friend?

Its complete and utter danger
As if Im looking to a stranger
You say youve held me tight
But then where were you all the nights
I needed solitude?

Ill turn and say my goodbyes
Wipe away tears at my eyes
Leave you all to contemplate
What weve been through

And after all is done and said
I looked too far, I over read
It all straight, went over my head
And now Im lost
So lost

It took too long, goes too slow
I should act better, yeah, I know
But Ive fallen far below bottoms end
Where are those that call me friend?

Look at what Ive done
What have I tried to overcome?
Theres nothing wrong
I searched for something thats not real

I think Im just looking for an excuse
While waiting for someone to cut me loose
