When love is gone
when you can feel it no more
the day your mind and heart are at war
when it has conqured you life
and left you alone
as you lay in bed in pain you moan
pain of the heart memories you've shared
the thought that at one time you actually cared
hell has risen bliss is gone
love has lost pain has won
without your heart in pain
you shut yourself down
outside's a smile inside's a frown
the night you vow love is fear
a chance you just can't take
please be a dream that lets you awake
