My name is Contentment
Surviving on the last of dying ash
We can see the sun rising
Fighting the night sky, stars clash
Smile on forever, darling
Wake your feelings as you will
We can feel the warmth of contentment
And you warm me even still
Lost in a hope for discretion
Those feelings you chose to steal
We can see all the colors
Spinning into forever on the color wheel

First of....Dark poetry?? I dunno.. I kind of got the impression of life fulfilled or of living a full life...despite that point of contention I do find that this is a very vivid poem...nice one. |
