Called twice

Finally you picked up
I smiled and said
Are we still good for tonight?
You paused
and said
I just may stop by
I answered
thats fine
But inside my soul cried
My heart
Stepped on
You pulled it out of my cage
I hung up
with goodbye
And was filled with suicidal rage
Our plans
Had been made
You should've just said no
But you
had to please yourself
And painfully let me go
Toying with
my emotions
Do you call that fair game?
It's alright
I still have feelings for you
all the same
But next time
don't be sad
when I'm the one you want
The feelings
that I have for you
Will only come to haunt
