We were walking so calm
Down the shore, to our spot
To celebrate the New Year.
And I didn't wanna get caught
So I slipped the gloves on
Saying my hands were cold
I just didn't want fingerprints
On the knife I had to hold
And just as the clock struck 12
I slid the knife in, his life no more.
I had just commited
The first murder of 2004
The next day the cops found him
His body mangled and a mess
They asked me if I did it
But I didn't confess
Now someone else is in jail
Behind that barred door
And I had gotten away with
The first murder of 2004
