i wear a band of gold around my heart and not my finger for all the world to see that i am muchly alone living each day wishing, longing, loving with all my heart in endless hopeless vain taking deep breaths, full of hot chocolate, dog fur, tea and empty smiles to strangers i see more often than the one i love... it is good for him for he has not the slightest chance of falling beneath my wretched cursed spell, dying like the others i have loved, giving passionate undying everlasting love to me that all had finite limits as they sailed on the winds of time's memory into oblivion's abyss, becoming part of that lost sea of empty heart space on into that blackness of unknown universes far at the other end of nowhere, earthly no more... dogs snores come sweetly into my ears warming my soul and heart pleasing my mind until a tangible coyote howl sounds in the distance, then its the magnificent fearless protective barking brigade... so now i'm restless too, stretch, sigh, deeply again, into my quiet reflection contemplating this entire life sitting by glow of hazelnut flames, naturally alone again precious hours to myself but there is no one to take them away and no one to annoy me or make me miserable... sometimes in and about my life, just sometimes, i wish i could say i heard more than a woof.

As I read this I could envision a hand with a flowing pen, writing this down. A little glimpse into the woman behind the words. Wonderful to read! Deep and charming, echoing of need. Kie

Wow... the loneliness just emanates from this... it makes me sad. Maybe you are cursed, lol, but I don't think so. Not everyone you love is going to die. No one ever said life, or love, was easy. Some walk a more winding path than others, but boundless love will come to you in time. Maybe you'll never know why the things that have happened to you happened the way they did... or maybe you will. But nothing that happens in this life happens in vain. Whether the reason for it is blindingly clear or clear as mud (as Mick would say), it's there. Just don't give up on it. Follow your heart and that incredible intuition of yours. It won't fail you. I could go on for hours it seems, lol, but I won't. I just want to see you happy again. Maybe if we all pool our resources and send a certain someone a big box full of thick wool socks... LOL. Anyways I'm shutting up now. :) Love and big hugs,

~ Dee

such loneliness......I have felt this too in my life so many times. Seems as if all we love has abandoned us in one way or the other. You put the feelings into words as few others ever could, but we have all come to expect that from you Nessa, your is a true talent.

I would say the usual, 'everything happens for a reason' but thats just a load of rubbish really. I love this poem though, its brilliant and you wont be lonly forever hun.

Love is there for you, maybe miles away but its there.

Mara, George and I will always be by your side in heart, soul and mind.

Loneliness emanating from this poem, makes me sad for you. This poem is shattering. Really masterfully written. I could even picture the scene in my mind with the description you've made. Great poem
