Her glow is gone,
Her heart is lost,
Her halo slowly fading.
Her eyes are cold,
Her soul is bare,
Her hopes are now cascading.
Before this time,
She was her own,
A 'Heaven's One and Only'
And now she thinks
Her race is won,
She's ashamed, and cold, and lonely.
Her wings now frail,
Her warmth now cold,
Her happiness now saddened,
Her dreams now torn,
Her smile's worn,
Her chance to stay won't happen.
She's lost her place,
Her glow, her shine,
She's giving back her wings,
Her time has come,
Her halo hung,
It's troubled news she brings.
