I was brand new, you were mean! I cried real tears, when I was sixteen. Very insecure, you sensed my weakness. My heart of kindness, recognized yours of crudeness!
But, we were young, joyful, teenagers unafraid! I should have gone home, but waited instead, and stayed! The letter sweater from another, put you in a rage. If only I'd known then, prepared was your cage!
Steady as we went, no one else allowed! Controlling, no comforting words, proud, unvowed. I was always there waiting for you, day one, day two..... My love drew, to ensue, pursue, my debut.
Ready as we go, there on the football field. Compromising for you always, my lame heart's yield. A strong bold kiss, brave, secure, not missed. I was barely sixteen, a handsome young man how could I resist?
Church goer, prim, proper, great show! I loved you so much, but you had places to go! We were so young, and so much in love, I thought? Dancing teenagers, unafraid, hearts untaught.
The night you graduated, I was there always there. Your ring you asked back, the coolness, I felt from somewhere. "I want you to have fun your last year of high school!" Another one of your rules, without emotion, so cruel!
But i was a young teenager barely sixteen then. I'd given you my whole heart, 'twas not just a lend. When you reached for your ring, you failed to see, attached to it was my heart, sobbing, so comely!
But I was a young teenager who loved to dance. No one would ever see my heart again, never another chance. Our parting was similiar to the way we had met. Down by the old mill, you were mean, but I was sixteen, and loved to dream, it was so easy to forget!
Still dreaming along with a loving heart's song Took me years to find out, that it was not me.... you'd strung me along. Your first year of college it was you that wanted to be free. You left me down by the old mill, heartless, dumped sweetly!

I loved the trip down memory lane. Although parts were so sad (for the record he lost pure gold, when he let go of you! poor sap!) I found myself smiling because you have this form of expression that is so very rare. Awww, the old mill, perfect title..Kie |

The critters lady's poetic sense is amazing..
---------------------------------------------
In every single true romance,
One or the other takes a chance,
The one who is stung will cry a lot
The one who's the stinger drew from the pot.
The next time around, the opposite be
The stung was the smartest, easy to see,
The new one is hurt, the armor goes on,
And each new romance could be a mean con.

*Winces*
Ouch... I've done just that... IN that process I created a horrible person... So bad of me...
I can't fix it though. It's too late. I tried but I failed... This one was like a slap in the face to me... |
