Expectations tie a rope
Around my sorrowed shell,
Pulled by peers and all their hope,
It's pulling me to Hell.
A moldable mind is all they see,
To push me is all they can do,
While deep inside, it's killing me
To be such a distance from you.
Tis like the fates conspire day
And night to cause me pain,
But destiny, do what you may,
T'will all have been in vain!
For well I know she waits for me,
And in her arms I shall be free...
