Minimum Wage

So little pay for so much work.
I work till my hands feel to bleed.
A meager six fifty an hour for all my efforts.
Yet I can't seem to get more.
I work my hands down to the bone
But when I ask for a raise, am always turned down.
They think for my age, that is enough.
But do they forget the rocketed gas price?
They might have enough but I don't.
Minimum wage just isn't enough.
I've tried to explain why I need it so much.
Why I deserve the extra just another dollar.
I tried to tell him that I can't get it from mom.
Who seems to think I should have enough.
And dad who won't buy my clothes.
Because I have a job to take care of it.
But minimum wage just isn't enough!

This was a good poem. It expresses how many of us who get paid next to nothing feel. |

I know how you feel. Work is a rat race, and it is impossible to get payed what you deserve. Just know your worth, and do not let anyone tell you different. Great write, I love your poetry, it is worth much more than minimum wage!!!!!!!!!!
