Nobody's Holding You Here

Contributed by RochelleLloyd on Saturday, 31st January 2004 @ 10:33:43 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Our problems seem to never end
But you keep coming back again
And now you only call me dear
When you want me to buy your beer
I've never complained about helping you
And never asked for you to help me too
But if you keep staying out so late
I'm gonna close my front gate
I love you like you've been loving me
And will from now until eternity
But I think it's time you take a stand
And try to be a grown up man
So take this road until it ends
Please just don't come back again
Cause nobody's holding you here
You've got your whole life ahead of you
And all of my hopes for you
An open road ahead of you
Lots of things to see and do
Nobody's holding you here

You want the best, yet you are better off without him. In moments like this, parting is not sweet sorrow... It's just sweet.

Good poem!

Jazz

A good write. I am impressed with your strength.
Loved the title and the ending. Thought provoking. Kie
