The Devil's Due

Contributed by Kane on Sunday, 1st February 2004 @ 11:06:02 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Shots ring out, an innocent man with a gun in his mouth,
Pull the trigger, brains look like they've been through a blender,
Mashed on a wall, the body just falls,
Blood on my face, oh well another murder one case,

Cops on the prowl, as long as I'm not caught, no harm, no foul,
Swat busts in my door, my murder spea is no more,
" Get on the ground," and so I obey,
" Your under arrest for murder," all I say is ok,
I must appear in front of the Honorable Many Jane,
Cool I've been banger her since the eight grade,

The case was thrown out, not enough evidences to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt,
I simply smile, tonight I'll be in her chambers for a while,
Once again a free man, the warm blood still fresh upon my hands,
I was born to kill, and watching someone beg for their life, there's no bigger thrill,

Her I go on the creep, looking for someone new the Lord can meet,
If I count the times these pigs have tried to chrage me with this crime,
I'd have to say ten, isn't it funny how I always win,
I enter a dark alley in search of my pray, I hear a familiar voice say,

" Turn around Kane," and so I do,
A little confused I say, " Who the hell are you,"
Without another word the hammer falls, this time the bullet enters my skull,
" Many Jane," I whisper, " Yes it's me, and I want you to know I will always love you,"
" But on the other hand, the devil always gets her due."

Heart & Soul
Kane

Don't take this the wrong way but I think the ending if pretty funny. I love how you wrote this... For me, it's dark but yet humerous at the same time. Great Job~
