Come home to myself

Topic: SongLyrics

Can you help me get back home to myself. I lost the real me somehow
along the way to you. I was trying to be so many different things to so many
different people. I just dont know who or what Im am any more.
Can you help me to come back home, to myself. Can you help me see
down into the real me. I just want to be what I am. I guess all that I really
want is the ok to make myself happy. I want to come home to me.
I have been putting on, so many different mask, for so long. That I cant
tell which one is my real face anymore. The truth is that I had a different
mask for each person that would show up, at my door step.
Today is the first day. that Im going to be me. when you look at me for
now on you get what you see. Im going to live a life of freedom. All of you
nit pickers can just let me be. Im free, free, free, free. Im free like a rising
sun. I came home to myself.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
