A girl once learned She was good for only one thing In her being it was burned Only misery could she bring
She didnt like what she was And she wanted something more On this thought did she pause Time to lose what she did abhor
As the teen years came So much anger, from where? What or who was to blame? The memories were no longer there
She had dreams of the past And knew theyd been real From the first to the last The past they did reveal
It finally made sense What could she do? Why keep up the pretense? She, was of no value
She learned to accept What had happened to her So much had she wept She was now far from pure
She had to believe Her fate wasnt sealed Her guilt she must relieve So she could be healed
She tried to be good As the years went by Much she withstood Till she could no longer try
She visited the past And all her old sins Her guilt was vast She had no more grins
Some how she survived And hope returned Her will was revived For change she yearned
Of the guilt, shes aware And with it, she must deal Maybe with prayer The answer hell reveal
She must live with the shame And do what she should Herself to reclaim Still choosing to be good
