Grief

Sitting alone
thinking
about vanishing
escaping this reality
and I moan as I
know running
will not release me,
I have lost
a very dear friend
who's essence now rides the wind
and I can only moan
I really miss him.
Everything must change
nothing stays the same
that seems so harsh to me
when it is that time
emotions
strongly shake me,
way up high in the sky
my friends star shines
his pain is gone
he is now free...
and I can
only moan
as I sit alone
thinking.
