In My Eyes

Topic: SongLyrics

When I wake up to the shining sun
Never thought that my life was done
When I was young i had dreams of being great
Now I i consider those dreams second rate

And now I'm lying in my blood
Watching as the world moves on
Here I'm soaking in my blood
Watching my life fly by, in my eyes

So my life has come and gone
I can't remember anything I've done
So my life has been a waste
On this earth to take up space

And now I'm lying in my blood
Watching as the world moves on
Here I'm soaking in my blood
Watching my life fly by, in my eyes

Now I know that I was wrong
Never once did I belong
To this race of humankind
For they acted like they were blind

And now I'm lying in my blood
Watching as the world moves on
Here I'm soaking in my blood
Watching my life fly by, in my eyes

They were blind to all my needs
Yet they wanted me to believe
That they were good and justly led
Maybe that is why I'm now dead

And now I'm lying in my blood
Watching as the world moves on
Here I'm soaking in my blood
Watching my life fly by, in my eyes

I never believed a word they said
I found a bullet in my head
After all I had been through
They didn't want me to know the truth

And now I'm lying in my blood
Watching as the world moves on
Here I'm soaking in my blood
Watching my life fly by, in my eyes

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
