This might be just what I need

My dreams laced with darkness
My nights filled with desire
You gave me a reason
Threw fuel on the fire

I'll break into a piece of my mind
Take away all the sadness I feel
There must be a way to escape
Searching always for a way to deal

But, this might be just what I need
Continue to meet me in my dreams
Wake only to find alone
I break into darkness as it seems

My thoughts filled with confusion
My burdens so heavy to bear
Strength as it's fading
Searching only to find nothing there

Existing for no reason I could ever find
Wishing only for a different tomorrow
I search for my emptiness
Rewarded only by deepening sorrow

And, this might be just what I need
Continue to meet me in my dreams
Wake only to find alone
I break into darkness as it seems

My nightmares have lashed me
My peace of mind never to return
Get me away from this awful place
Break me as I start to burn

Bring me back to life
Drag me from tendrils of despair
Hold me strong in open arms
Promise you will meet me there

This might be just what I need
You carry me every single day
Exist for a simple purpose
You drove the blade deeper anyway

You might me just what I need
