Forever in my Heart

Contributed by Tiffems1 on Tuesday, 3rd February 2004 @ 12:03:57 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Remember when we first met
On that September day
Never knowing what was in store
God taking you away

We clicked almost instatly
Nothing could ever sever
A bondness so very close
A friendship lasting forever

Two years we spent together
Mostly having fun
Having the occasional argument
Not knowing what could come

We tried out dating
And I gave you my heart
Learning it wasn''t wise
Letting you tear it apart

We were better off friends
Helping each other out
Cuz we all know
That''s what friendship is all about

Then one day in March
The phone sat ringing
Expecting to hear
A telemarketer lingering

On the other end
She told me you were dead
I sat there frozen
Staring straight ahead

I thought there was a mistake
A mix-up of some sort
The guy I knew
Would never cut his life short

Reality shook me free
And tears started to flow
Thinking of all you were
Memories passing slow

I''d give absolutely anything
To hear you once again
Laughing, crying, screaming
You just tell me when

From the beginning until the end
Your face being the start
You will always be
Forever in my heart
