People stand like buildings, Crowding each shred of space, The fiction, or so they say Of a super-human race.
Air becomes so choking, Outside-a restricted zone, Everyone lives in a bubble No unity, each to his own.
We live forever, if we want to, Although life's a crazy dream, No need to decipher, We know what everything means.
The city never sleeps now, And as invisible night encloses, We look to a world going nowhere, Laced with jet black roses.
