AS I DREAM I SEE CLOUDS
OF TIME.
PASSING ME BY NEVER
COMING TRUE.
BUT ALWAYS LEAVING
MY HEART.
WITH HOPE OF ANOTHER.
BUT ONLY IN MY DREAMS.
I SEE THE REASON OF
HOPE.
I SHALL ALWAY BE A SMILE
OF YESTERDAY.
A KIND SPIRIT DRIFTING
AS TIME GOES BY.
WAITING FOR THEM DARK
EYES TO SET ME FREE.
AS THE CLOUDS COVER
ME.
DREAMS ARE FOREVER
IN MY SLEEP.
AS I DREAM I SHALL BE A
BUTTERFLY.
THAT WILL FLY AWAY
FROM CLOUDS.
THAT DARKNESS THE WAY.

| this is lovely. I have a friend...he told me to make a memory and when times were bad to remember the happy memory...but that can only work so long for me. Just like dreaming...sooner or later, for me anyway, just like your poem, the dream drifts away like the cloud. Damn that hit home! |
