I am in the middle
Of a storm which will not end
In which my fragile soul
Has been horribly rent
The pain I feel
From Hell is sent.
I let people cry on my shoulder
And I ask nothing in return
Except a friend for life
A friend whose back will not turn
Away from the demon in me
Away from the bridges I've burned.
So I am in the middle
Of a world of love and hate
Ever ready to let go
Letting my life fall into the hands of fate
But I'm stifled by my soul
And my friends I push away.
