Pathetic, apathetic conditions
Feeling nothing for no one but yourself
Emotion can alter your perception.
Empathy, sympathy placed on a shelf
Erase the feeling, phasing out the pain
Our souls are desolate; desperate; dead
Swan dive into the abyss of disdain
Why feel, when you could become numb instead.
Neglect negates the torment of feeling
Scorch the conscious, root of insanity
Apathy refutes the need for healing
Extinguish my sense of lucidity
Everyone and everything meaningless
The void inside is filled with nothingness

this was great I wrote a sonnet and it was hard so I respect the work put into this! This was all so dark and beautiful.
Our souls are desolate; desperate; dead
I loved that line I think the alliteration did it for me. Keep up the writing.

| I absolutely loved this. I've never been able to master sonnets, but you did this beautifully! I really loved the darkness of it. I wonder why so few people have read this... Keep up the great work!!! *goes off to grab people and make them read this* |
