Scotty boy went in to the bar to have a drink or two, said he'd only have a few. That was twelve beers ago, now he decides it's time to go.
He grabbed his keys and walked out to his truck. To get safely home is going to take some luck. He's driving along no fear in his eyes, not aware he's causing his own demise.
He's only a mile away from home now, and his truck gets a little sideways somehow. He tries to correct, to somehow get out of a wreck.
But now his reflexes are too slow, will the big rock in front of him be his deathblow? He hits the rock and is slamed against the windshield. As his truck rolls into a field. Scotty boy if only you had called a cab, maybe you wouldn't be lying in this lab. Maybe you new wife wouldn't be crying, and your little brother wouldn't be sobbing.
If only you'd had only a drink or two, you could see another day new. Drinking and driving never pays off in the end, and the sorrow you cause you can never amend.
